Renae Ayris(Australia) 3rd runner-up Miss Universe 2012

Renae Ayris (born 17 September 1990) is an Australian beauty pageant titleholder from Perth, Australia. She was crowned Miss Australia 2012 and became the 3rd runner-up in the 2012 Miss Universe pageant.

Ayris won the Miss Universe Australia competition on 9 June 2012 in a ceremony held at Melbourne’s Sofitel Hotel, outdoing 35 other delegates from across the country. This confirmed her place in the Miss Universe pageant. As Miss Universe Australia, Ayris got the opportunity to travel around her country working for charities, events, and photoshoots, and most recently worked with Operation Smile in China doing surgery on children with facial disfigurement.

Ayris represented Australia in Miss Universe 2012. She placed fourth overall (3rd runner-up), trailing behind Misses Venezuela, Philippines and the eventual winner, USA. She continued her country’s streak of placing in the semifinals, started by Laura Dundovic, Miss Universe Australia 2008.
